RETHINKING HOUSING OPTIONS ADVICE CONFERENCE
The range of housing options across tenures has become more varied and complex in recent years making it increasingly difficult for those seeking housing to navigate all the options available to them.
The new Scottish Government discussion document Housing: Fresh Thinking, New Ideas points towards a more proactive approach to housing options advice based on a longer term housing plan. With 2012 creeping closer the focus is on homelessness prevention and ensuring households fully understand all the options open to them.
This event will aim to highlight the need for a different housing options approach and explore current Scottish Government thinking on taking this agenda forward. It will also consider housing options as an early intervention tool aimed at helping those facing different housing issues at any stage in their lives.
