SWHB HOMELESSNESS DATABASE

The Homelessness Database is a key output of the South West Homelessness Delivery Group. The first phase brought together published data for 2005/06 covering RSL lettings and local authority homelessness data. Phase 2 updates the data to 2006/07 and incorporate analyses to add functionality and make it more user-friendly. It also includes some analyses spanning the 2005/06 and the 2006/07 data. The analyses required was identified by practitioners at the 2007 South West Homelessness Conference. To access the database, visit SW Homelessness Database

POSITIVE ACTION FOR DISABILITY

Earlier this year Government published the Equality Bill scheduled for introduction in 2010. The bill strengthens the law to support progress on equality and diversity issues and is likely to put public sector organisations under even more scrutiny.

CIH has introduced Positive Action for Disability to help organisations involved in planning and managing social housing to create more opportunities for disabled people to pursue careers in housing.
