CIH Annual Conference & Exhibition in the Yorkshire & Humberside Region
‘Going Green in Yorkshire & the Humber’
8th July 2010
The CIH Yorkshire and Humberside Conference is a regional housing event, attracting organisations from across the region and beyond. This year’s conference will address the fundamental and related questions of sustainability and protecting the environment, but at the same time still providing affordable housing. We face significant challenges – creating a sustainable environment, producing more high quality housing, and building safe, prosperous, cohesive communities, while making effective use of our resources all at the same time.
On the day of the conference you will hear a lively debate on environmental issues on a national and regional level presented by Abi Davies, Chartered Institute of Housing and Kevin Dodd, Chief Executive, Wakefield & District Housing
You will also hear from Dick Strawbridge who appeared on It’s not easy being green series, who will be sharing his personal experiences of Going Green in the twenty first century
Master class sessions include;
- Mainstreaming Code 6 – Lessons learnt so far!
- Warm homes standards
Retro fitting – experience to date
- Community energy solutions – Involving your customers
