CIH Cymru launches Rising Stars Cymru 2026 - recognising the future leaders of Welsh Housing

Are you shaping the future of Welsh housing?  CIH Cymru invites you to step into the spotlight with Rising Stars Cymru 2026 — a celebration of emerging talent and leadership in our sector.

CIH Cymru is proud to announce the launch of Rising Stars Cymru 2026 — a unique and inspiring opportunity open to individuals who have been working in Welsh housing, paid or voluntary, for less than three years as of the application deadline (23 January 2026).

This prestigious competition aims to showcase, recognise, and celebrate the talent, dedication, and potential of individuals at the early stages of their housing career. It is designed for those who are eager to broaden their horizons, grow their professional networks, and make a lasting, positive impact on communities and neighbourhoods across Wales. Alongside gaining recognition for your work in the sector, the winner's prize includes several invaluable opportunities to further boost their career.

We are seeking nominations for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Outstanding achievement within their organisation in the short time they have worked in the housing sector
  • Proactive ownership of their career development and commitment to professional growth
  • A genuine passion for housing, coupled with strong ethics and a dedication to professional standards

Candidates must be current CIH members.

Finalist requirements

Finalists will be required to:

  1. Submit two 500-word max. written responses to two set questions, showcasing their vision, values, and contribution to the sector; and
  2. Deliver a 5-minute presentation at TAI 2026, CIH Cymru’s annual conference and exhibition

Finalists must be available to attend the TAI 2026 event taking place on 27-28 April at ICC, Celtic Manor, Newport.  The winner will be announced first hand at the conference dinner taking place on the evening of Monday 27 April.

If you know someone who embodies the future of Welsh housing — or if that person is you — don’t miss the chance to be part of Rising Stars Cymru 2026.
