You will receive an overview of housing law affecting the management of secure and assured tenancies together with potential solutions to the most common problems.

What will I learn?

At the end of this course you'll be able to:

  • Explain what ‘security of tenure’ is
  • Differentiate between different tenancies and rents
  • Outline the court action/procedure/notices with COVID-19
  • Describe what to do when there is a breach of tenancy leading to possible eviction
  • State the different grounds for possession
  • Explain the rent arrears eviction process
  • Understand ASB and the tools available to tackle it
  • identify what action to take when you suspect tenancy fraud
  • Recognise vulnerability and identify when safeguarding is necessary
