Excellence in Housing Innovation Award
Co-Ownership is Northern Ireland’s regional body for shared ownership, a not-for-profit organisation that helps people become homeowners. Since 1978 Co-Ownership have supported over 30,000 people buy a home in Northern Ireland.
Co-Ownership has 3 products available: Co-Own, Rent to Own and the recently launched Co-Own for Over 55s.
Co-Own and Co-Own for 55 are equity sharing products, which means our customers buy as much of the property as they can, and Co-Ownership buy the rest. Rent to Own is for people who are not yet financially ready for home ownership but are working towards it. Co-Ownership currently has over 10,000 co-owners.
Best Housing Development Award
The Housing Agency is a Government body working with the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, local authorities and Approved Housing Bodies in the delivery of housing and housing services. The Agency’s purpose is to accelerate housing supply, in partnership with our key stakeholders, by providing our expertise, support and resources to deliver high-quality homes in vibrant communities. The Agency has three strategic themes - being a centre of knowledge for housing insights, addressing housing supply and affordability and supporting the creation of sustainable and inclusive communities.
Striving for Sustainability Award
Clanmil Housing is one of Northern Ireland’s leading housing associations and currently owns and manages over 6,000 homes throughout Northern Ireland, including family homes, homes for single people, independent living schemes for older people, housing with care for frail older people and supported housing for older people with dementia.
