What can be done to ensure survivors can stay in their home?

The process of removing perpetrators from joint tenancies presents challenges to landlords. We speak to experts across the UK and Ireland about different approaches to ensuring survivors can stay in their home, where it is safe to so.

Where it is safe to do so, for many survivors of domestic abuse, the ability to remain in their home can provide vital stability and connection to social networks. Having procedures in place to accompany existing legislation can ensure that lengthy and damaging stays in temporary accommodation are avoided.

Why attend?

  • We'll bring together experts to share different approaches to tackling this within housing organisations
  • We'll explore existing and incoming legislation which will assist them in doing so
  • You'll understand practical challenges of removing perpetrators from joint tenancies.
