Building stronger, more connected communities

How do we foster genuine cohesion and a sense of belonging within our housing communities, and what role should boards play in shaping this culture?

A strong sense of belonging is essential for safe, resilient, and thriving communities, yet many housing organisations still struggle to create environments where everyone feels connected, valued, and heard. Tensions have been growing across the country and national debates around immigration and asylum accommodation spilled into public protest and national flags appearing on lampposts across many towns and cities in the UK.

In this insightful webinar will examine how organisations can tackle divisions and build connections, and explore what cohesion means in practice for the housing sector.  Delegates will also explore the factors that strengthen or weaken community bonds, how organisational culture influences tenant relationships, and the practical steps boards can take to support inclusive, trusted neighbourhoods.

Delegates will gain:

  • A deeper understanding of the organisation’s role in shaping belonging, resilience and pride in place
  • Actionable strategies to tackle division, embed fairness, shared identity, and positive engagement across housing communities.

Who should attend?

  • Housing organisation board members
  • Executive leaders
  • Resident engagement professionals
  • Community investment teams
  • Anyone responsible for shaping organisational culture, inclusion or tenant experience.
