Delivering the next stage of housing safety reform

Join sector experts to understand what the next phase of Awaab’s Law means for you, and how to improve damp and mould remediation.

Awaab’s Law has now been in place for significant damp and mould hazards for close to a year.

Phase 2 will introduce new legal duties for social landlords, extending statutory repair timescales to a wider range of hazards, including excess heat and falls.

As well as understanding what the Phase 2 changes mean in practice, housing professionals need to continue focusing on improving damp and mould remediation.

This webinar will provide timely guidance on the new Phase 2 legislation, and share key learnings and practice from new damp and mould guidance, published collaboratively by CIH and the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).

Attend this webinar to:

  • Understand what Phase 2 of Awaab's Law covers and when the changes will take effect
  • Explore the practical implications for housing, repairs, compliance and asset management teams
  • Hear an overview of CIH and CIOB’s new damp and mould guidance.

Whether you work in housing management, repairs, compliance or leadership, this session will provide practical insights to help you prepare your organisation for the next phase of implementation.

  • Chair: Eve Blezard, policy lead, Chartered Institute of Housing
