This webinar will help housing professionals build strong, effective relationships with councillors following the local elections, with practical tips on communication, casework, and partnership working.
Local elections see an influx of new councillors take over leadership roles in their communities. They come from a huge range of backgrounds and professions. Many arrive in office with limited understanding of how social housing works, how it is funded, and where roles and responsibilities start and end.
For councillors who have held their seats, they are often returning to a new set of dynamics - and maybe even new leadership. How housing professionals engage with councillors is hugely important in an increasingly volatile political landscape, with housing often taking centre stage in local debates.
In this session, we’ll explore how landlords can build relationships with councillors – and work together to deliver for communities and tenants.
