CIH Scotland looking for new board appointments

The Chartered Institute of Housing in Scotland (CIH Scotland) has today (28 June 2022) announced it is looking for three new members to join its Scotland Board.

With Mike Campbell, Jim Hayton and Bryony Willett all due to complete a maximum six-year term ahead of this year’s AGM, three places are available for ambitious housing professionals who want to make a difference to their professional bodies.

Applicants do not currently have to be CIH members, and the Institute is keen to encourage applications from across the housing sector, with a specific interest in applications from those with experience of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion issues, those working in the PRS, recent student learners or younger practitioners. The application process has also changed so that both paper and video applications are now accepted.

Current CIH Scotland Chair Gavin Smith said:

“If you have ever considered joining a board to get more experience working at a strategic level or want to give something back to your profession, please do consider applying to join the CIH Scotland board.

“We are looking for candidates with a real passion for their role in the sector and board members from all walks of the housing profession. Whether you work for an RSL, local authority or a letting agent, you are a student learner, brand new to the sector or an experienced leader; we want to hear from you.

“We have also changed the application process to make it easier than ever to apply - you can now submit a letter or a video application explaining what you would bring to the board. Remember to send your application by 5 pm on Monday 15 August to our national director Callum Chomczuk.”
