CIH Scotland opens applications for new board members

The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Scotland is looking for up to four new members to join its Scotland Board.

With two spaces already available and two board members, Gavin Smith and Donna Bogdanovic, due to complete a maximum six-year term ahead of this year’s AGM in September, up to four places are available for ambitious housing professionals who want to make a difference to their professional body.

Applicants do not currently have to be CIH members, and the Institute is keen to encourage applications from across the housing sector, with a specific interest in applications from those with experience of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion issues, those working in the PRS, local authority housing practitioners and those working in rural housing.

Applications can be made by letter or video, and the deadline for applying is 5pm on Friday 15 August.

Callum Chomczuk, national director of CIH Scotland said:

“We are looking for candidates with a real passion for the housing sector and for board members from all walks of the housing profession. Whether you work for an RSL, local authority or a letting agent, you’re a student learner, brand new to the sector or an experienced leader, we want to hear from you.”

“If you have ever considered joining a board to get more experience of working at a strategic level or you just want to give something back to your profession, then please do consider applying to join the CIH Scotland Board.”
