Foluke Ajayi Sangobowale joins CIH’s GERN Committee

We’re excited to announce that Foluke Sangobowale will be joining our Governance, Ethics, Renumeration and Nominations (GERN) Committee in the New Year.

The GERN Committee was created earlier this year as an extension of our CIH Governing Board and has a particular focus to help improve equality, diversity and inclusion within CIH to enrich the diversity of thought and to ensure CIH represents its members.

Foluke is currently head of neighbourhood management at Network Homes Limited and joins the committee which already includes Geraldine Howley, Gavin Smart, Anne Chapman, Elly Hoult and Gordon Perry.

Foluke said: “I’m so pleased I have the fantastic opportunity to join CIH’s newly formed GERN Committee.

“It’s exceptionally important to me that, across the housing sector and our wider communities, we do everything we can to create a fair and inclusive environment. Every individual should feel confident that they will not be exposed to discrimination, criticism, harassment, or any other emotional harm. The power of diversity can only be unleashed and its benefits reaped when we recognise these differences and learn to respect and value each individual regardless of their background.”
