We deliver CIH qualifications through flexible blended learning, and also work with housing organisations to tailor qualifications to meet their needs and the needs of their employees. We deliver qualifications in-house at times and locations to suit these needs.

Course delivery is via face to face sessions and blended learning. We provide high levels of support to our learners to develop knowledge and understanding, as well as the skills which are essential for working in housing.

The breadth of knowledge and experience of our delivery team allows us to meet the demand for housing apprenticeships from entry level to senior housing professional.

The organisation is based in Nottinghamshire with premises in Nottingham city centre and Derby with delivery also taking place across the Midlands.

CIH qualifications are among the multi-level diverse qualifications that are offered by the college. Courses are delivered using a blended learning approach involving face-to-face contact session at the start of the delivery of each unit supported by Moodle based online interactive learning with a tutor on the delivery end to offer support.

Since 1888 we have been working closely with employers from a range of sectors to be an indispensable partner in supporting the economic landscape of Pennine Lancashire and beyond.

We offer qualifications in housing as well as delivering the Housing Apprenticeship Standards at Levels 2, 3 and 4.

CIH Housing Academy offers:

Fully online qualifications that provide you with the flexibility to study around existing commitments. You will have access to online materials available 24 hours a day 7 days a week from anywhere with internet access and the support of an experienced housing tutor via our online learning platform Moodle.

Online plus qualifications combines all the benefits of online study with the addition of dedicated tutor support via virtual sessions. These virtual sessions offer the opportunity to interact and share knowledge with other learners and tutors, but still offer the benefit of fitting study time around work and life commitments.

With CIH bitesize learning, you can break down our qualifications and simply study the units you want to, when you want to, and pay as you go. You may choose to study a single unit on a topic of particular interest, or, over time, study all units which, on successful completion, achieves the full qualification. Bitesize learning is currently available on Level 2 and Level 3 Certificate in Housing Practice.

Studying online gives you total flexibility to study when and where works for you. As a CIH Housing Academy online learner, you will have access to a full set of online learning tools, including study materials written by our team of specialist authors, links to useful websites and resources, and access to forums where you can share your thoughts and ideas with other learners.

Based in Central London we are ideally situated to provide training in our premises at Regents Park with experienced tutors and in depth knowledge of housing practices and developments. As well as face to face tutoring in small groups, there is additional one to one support through our on line portal built into the e-portfolio system.

These qualification are only available as part of the Apprenticeship programme.

The GEM Programme offers a wide range of jobs and intensive learning experiences in the housing sector across the country and even internationally!

We match people to roles which will suit their passion, skills and experience and offer opportunities for those already working in the sector to develop their talents and career prospects as well as offering a “graduate or equivalent” route called Talent in House.

We offer work opportunities that provide responsibility, variety and challenge, right from the start. GEMs have the chance to gain a CIH level four qualifications, work in a role with real value, take part in our unique GEMshack workshops and shape the future of Housing!

Our courses are aimed at housing professionals who are working in the Housing Sector, in either the public or private sectors and are beneficial to employees aspiring to work at supervisory levels.

The courses give employees an extensive range of knowledge and skills that are practical in nature; and enable employees to reflect critically on housing policy and practice, combining theory and practice, so that employees can apply the things they learn to benefit organisational practice. This serves to promote organisational commitments to best value, with housing services being subject to continuous improvements.

Derwentside College provide apprenticeships in Housing at both Assistant level (L2) and at Officer level (L3). Within the apprenticeships, we deliver CIH qualifications to provide students with a further regulated qualification as well as the apprenticeship standard.

CIH qualifications can also be delivered as stand-alone qualifications to both individuals and groups who are working within a housing environment. The qualifications are delivered primarily through taught sessions by an experienced tutor with a background in housing however they can also be delivered through blended learning. Each of the qualifications will be assessed through the completion of a number of assignments linked to the individual units.

We have many strong links with housing organisations aimed at ensuring that our courses deliver the skills that industry requires so that every student has the best possible chance of gaining future employment and progression within the housing industry.

The benefits of learning with us are the flexibility of online learning, you can fit your studies around your other commitments. You will attend an induction day to help you settle in and get to know your tutors and fellow learners. You will have access to online course materials and be assigned a tutor who will provide on-going support throughout your studies. There are no exams, you will be assessed through coursework and receive written tutor feedback.

We are one of the leading national housing training providers, we have extensive experience in delivering the Level 2, 3 and 4 Housing Apprenticeship standards either as in-house programmes for employers or as open regional courses. We deliver and manage training programmes for employers on a national, regional and local basis.

We offer a wide range of CIH qualifications through blended learning, either as in-house or open courses. We deliver accredited qualifications to participants from operative to senior management level.

Qualifications are offered through the Apprenticeship in Housing Standards or as standalone qualifications.

CIH Housing qualifications are delivered flexibly, to suit both the employer and the learner and can be delivered standalone or as part of an apprenticeship framework.  The housing tutors are all suitably qualified and the team has an array of experience of working within the housing sector.

Assessments include a variety of class-based activities, as well as assignments.

At LBL Skills we aim to help our customers through training and development that is engaging and enjoyable using various teaching methods to meet the needs of learners.

Whether it is up-skilling new staff or consolidating the skills and knowledge of established staff, LBL trainers endeavour to deliver outstanding results every time help them retain that information through various teaching methods and then maintain that thread of learning through periodic refresher courses as and when appropriate.

The team has decades of experience in learning and development and is led by a guest lecturer from Birmingham City University with over 25 years’ experience in the Private and Public Sectors.

London Learning Consortium ensures that all its programmes are designed around our customers’ needs and that we provide a high quality and effective learning experience. Our programmes involve detailed training needs analysis sessions for individuals. We also provide advice and guidance on other learning opportunities as part of the process.

Our delivery methods are customised to ensure our programme delivery is effective and appropriate this includes a mixed menu of training, assessment and examination options via our online or virtual learning ‘Moodle’ systems as well as ongoing mentoring and support for all our customers from our fully qualified and friendly training and assessment team.
