The draft guidance on these pages has been produced by the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) to support housing professionals, and the organisations they work for, to understand and take action to manage and mitigate the risks posed by wildfires to their homes and residents.
The guidance is structured into six parts below, covering,
CIH is publishing the guidance in draft form to give our members, and any other stakeholder with an interest or expertise in wildfires, an opportunity to provide feedback.
We are particularly interested in feedback from CIH members on the content and useability of the guidance, and how you think it could be improved to better support your work.
We are also interested in feedback from experts in any other relevant profession, such as professionals and organisations involved in resilience, emergency planning and response (e.g. fire and rescue services), or land management.
